Grab a seat and witness natures finest views

A Photography Passion

From my Cambodian roots to my new home in Southern England, my love is the outdoors and nature's spectacular show.  When I'm not capturing your special occasions I'm out and about with my camera.

All my landscape photography is available as limited edition framed prints or as greeting cards.  My full galleries can be seen on Instagram @raksmeyphotography.  I present below a small selection of works.

As well as online, my prints are also on display in 2 locations.  The wonderful charming Partridge Inn in Singleton, and the newly opened Midpines Cafe at Denmans Garden, Fontwell.  Both in West Sussex.

The Line of the Law

My new project is fusing my photography with computer art.  I can picture this now hanging in a home office - maybe your home office?

Bright lights, big city

I went back home recently to Cambodia, and took this night scene of the capital - Phnom Penh.  Combining a little computer art to it, makes me see a little Gotham City in there maybe?

A Blaze of glory

As the sun sets over a carpet of poppies you could almost hear the summers evening bow out, making way for autumn.  Taken in Chichester, West Sussex.

An Autumnal visitor

I met a few of the Richmond Park residents on a recent trip to check out the Autumn colours and was surprised at how friendly these animals were.

Sunrise over History - Durdle Door

Rose early to capture sunrise over this famous landmark on a recent trip to Dorset.  Took some great shots during my visit.  A starry night over Portland Bill coming soon.

Poppy Season is upon us

Last year a poppy field was just out of reach to walkers, but this year they planted right next to the path.  And the photographers swarm!

Misty New Year Mornings

The crisp early mornings of winter sometimes herald low clouds, which make great atmospheric conditions for those that always have a camera close by.

A Highland Stag

One of my favourites, I was trying to get a perfect shot of a deer on a trip to the highlands last year.  Every time I was anywhere near, they would dart off.  Until I found this one who just loved the camera as I'm sure you agree!

The Springtime Sunshine set to Bluebells

The colour of springtime always leaves me speechless and the carpets of Bluebells in Spring is no exception.  Up early and I captured the sun peaking through the trees over this magical sight.

Residents in the Twilight Hour

Lambing in the Springtime is a busy time for the farmers of Slindon in West Sussex.  Its also a busy time for the sheep themselves, so it was wonderful to capture this shot as the sun began to rise to start a new day.

Magical Mr Potter's Land

Put to one side that this bridge features in one of the most popular franchises of all time, it is a spectacular sight on its own merit.  A trip to Scotland wouldn't be complete without taking my camera to the Glanfinnan Viaduct.

The fairest of them all

A lone white "blue"bell stands amongst its better known relatives in the woods in and around the Slindon Estate in West Sussex.

Highland Home

I just love these gorgeous creatures and so do most of you, as whenever this fellow appears at the gallery there are many a comment about the cuteness!

Beachy Head Lighthouse

A very rewarding hike along the South Coast brings you some wondrous sights like this picture postcard scene which turquoise waters would lead you to think you were somewhere a tad warmer!

Cold winds, beach tides and sea mist

The beaches along the South Coast are adventures in themselves with mystical settings galore. Walking along Littlehampton beach in the grand British summer and all of a sudden this sea mist drifts in.

Dusk light comes to Portland Bill

A great deal of time as a photographer is waiting, sitting and waiting.  Travelling, and then some more waiting.  And then shots like this happen! Just loved the dusk light here.
